As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, forecasters say Michael's top winds are now 120 miles per hour as it heads north as 12 miles an hour. It is 295 miles south of Panama City.
a tropical storm warning has now been issued from Fernandina Beach on Florida's east coast to the South Carolina coast, since Michael is expected to cut across Georgia into South Carolina after it makes landfall in Florida's Panhandle Wednesday afternoon.
A tropical storm warning extends from Citrus County to Anna Maria Island in Manatee County. A storm surge warning remains in effect from the Walton County line to Tarpon Springs and a storm surge watch from Tarpon Springs to Anna Marina Island.
