Schofield Middle School Blood Drive

As the first Cambridge International Lower Secondary School in the state of S.C., Schofield Middle School is piloting the method of Project-Based Learning, or PBL, to help students become global thinkers and survey the world from various perspectives. Project based learning give students the chance to apply the skills they learn in school to personally relevant and real-world situations. Our project’s driving question, which focuses our work, is how to assist and inform Schofield stakeholders and community members about the historic shortage of all blood types as reported by the Shepeard Blood Center. A problem that is further increasing due to the result of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, Schofield Middle School will be hosting a Blood Drive in partnership with the Shepeard Community Blood Center on March 8th from 2pm to 6pm and would like to invite your faculty, staff, and parents to support the cause by donating. Donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 years old with parent consent. All donors will receive a free snack upon donation. Masks will be required, and safety regulations/procedures will be enforced. If you have any questions you can contact the school at 803-641-2770 or email Lauren Cantey, the Cambridge Coordinator at lcantey@acpsd.net
