Mattel Releases David Bowie Barbie To Celebrate 50 Years Of 'Space Oddity'

On Thursday (July 11), David Bowie's first hit single "Space Oddity" turned 50 years old, and to celebrate the momentous occasion Mattel decided to release a special edition Barbie doll in honor of the late glam rocker. Yeah, you read that right: you can now by a David Bowie Barble.

The doll, dressed head to toe like the rockstar's iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust — metallic jumpsuit, platform boots, facepaint and all — is priced at $50 and is available to purchase via Barbie's official website (though be warned, it's currently backordered until July 29).
