It takes a lot to know you're going downhill again, and DOING something about it. That's what James Hetfield and Metallica are doing.
The band has canceled their tour with Slipknot in Australia and New Zealand, because frontman James Hetfield has returned to rehab.
They issued a statement saying:
"As most of you probably know, our brother James has been struggling with addiction on and off for many years.
"He has now, unfortunately, had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery again . . . We appreciate your understanding and support for James and thank you for being a part of our Metallica family."
The band intends on making up the dates.
