It's a sad day at Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia. A sad day indeed.
Zoo officials announced that Robin, their African elephant, has died unexpectedly at the age of 49. Even though she was the oldest female elephant at the zoo, Robin was in very good health “because of the tremendous care she received throughout her life.”
The zoo's elephant exhibit was closed today.
